I noticed the drains running a little slow, but didn’t think much of it. Then the toilets started gurgling, though I was tempted to see if it would just work itself out, I knew if I didn’t do something it would end up being twice as bad and cost a lot more in repairs.

I knew I had to take action. After asking a few coworkers and neighbors, I decided to contact Orlando Septic Service.

I called Joe from Orlando Septic Service the following morning and he came out later that day and pumped out my septic tank.  Before leaving he made sure all the toilets and drains were functioning properly. The staff was very helpful and the price was very affordable. They even price match competitors’ quotes. They are family owned and treated us like part of their family.

They also let me know the septic system can also show signs of stress with all the rain we have been receiving.

They explained all the waste water from my home goes into the septic tank. While the solids sink to the bottom, the oils and grease float to the top. The waste water in the middle leaves the tank through a main drain pipe which branches off into several perforated pipes.

Similar to a drip irrigation system, the septic drain field slowly releases waste water.  Seeping into the ground where waste water is cleaned by soil microbes. The drain field is the most expensive part of the structure and when it is compromised with waste it usually has to be dug up and replaced.  During the rainy season or hurricane, the drain field can become over saturated, causing issues inside your home.

If your toilets are making funny noises, drains running slow or backing up, take it from me, call Orlando Septic Services before any more damage is done.
