A few weeks ago we got a phone call from a Casselberry homeowner who was concerned because her toilets were making a gurgling sound after they were flushed. She thought it was something to do with her septic system so she called around to some services she found on the internet.
That is when she was told ‘you will probably need a new system’ or ‘we can schedule a service call, but it will cost you’ and my favorite, ‘you’re lucky it lasted this long.’
That’s when a neighbor told her to call Orlando Septic Service. We were happy to come out that afternoon and helped her.
The average 3 bedroom house with 2200 square feet living area usually has a septic tank that holds 900 gallons. The septic tank collects waste water from the washing machine, toilets, showers, sinks and dishwashers. Since the average person in Florida uses 80 gallons of water per day, that makes 320 gallons a day for a family of four. Not only does the septic tank fill up quickly, but just imagine how much water moves throughout the septic tank into the drain field every day!
If the tank is not pumped out regularly, the sludge builds up in the tank and moves out into the drain field, which causes the drain field to fail and wreak havoc on your home by causing the sewage to back up into your yard and house, cause toilets to make a gurgling sound after they are flushed, and create a foul odor either inside or outside the house. Regular pumping of the septic tank and inspections is the best way to avoid costly repairs.
Luckily for our homeowner, just needed her septic tank pumped out. She was very happy the service was affordable and she was able to use our First Time Client coupon!
